Soviet-Afghan War

We fly numerous missions with the Air Assault Unit including ferrying food, soldiers and supplies to various Soviet outposts on the periphery of Kabul. Some of the outposts make for spectacular filming – tiny bases on mountaintops, the soldiers waiting with their ever-present German shepherd dogs. Helicopter gunships constantly shoot off flares to deflect heat-seeking missiles as they swoop along the mountains.
